Re: the Griffin and Sabine series, The Museum at Purgatory
Dear Mr. Bantock,
Firstly, I would like to thank you for sharing your beautiful artwork with the world at large. It is simply phenomenal.
Secondly, I would like to address something that is a little awkward. I do not know if anyone has brought this to your attention, and if so, please disregard this humble missive. However, I must assume that nobody has told you this, for I believe it is something that would have been repaired posthaste.
Are you aware that your books do not make sense?!
I consider myself an intelligent person, fairly well-versed in mythology and a few ancient cultures. I realize that your books are largely based on these elements. They are familiar to me as my own bed at night.
Are you aware that in your books, they make no sense?!
Thank you for the first three volumes of the Griffin and Sabine series. Thank you for the pretty artwork. Thank you for the wonderful love story.
Except for the part where I'm really not sure what happened in the last three books. At all. Maybe it's because it was four AM and I was very tired, but... Mr. Bantock, please. Please.
If Mr. Gaiman can do it, why can't you?
Sincerely Yours,
Chelsey Richardson
P.S. However, my not understanding your books did nothing to stop me from buying a fountain pen and sepia-toned ink so that my letters to Jory would look somewhat like Sabine's.
